How Are Genuine Leather Shoes Made?

Two different manufacturing methods are used in shoe making. One of these methods is the traditional method and the other is the injection method. These methods are divided according to the way the upper and the sole are formed. The upper is used to describe the soft upper part of the shoe. The sole refers to the lower part of the shoe. In the traditional method, the upper and sole are formed separately and then put together. In the injection method, the sole and the upper are formed together. Genuine leather shoes are produced with the traditional shoe method. The making of genuine leather shoes consists of 6 stages. Preparation of the Model The first stage of shoe manufacturing is the preparation of the model and stamping. In order for the shoe to be formed, the model must first be prepared. After the model is prepared, the stamp is drawn and the stamp of the model is removed. Stamps are templates or molds prepared for the parts that make up the shoe upper. Cutting Stage After the model is prepared and the stamp is removed, suitable cutting knives are prepared for the model. With these knives, leather and lining are cut in accordance with the templates. In this way, the upper part of the shoe and the lining are revealed. The lining refers to the layer between the foot and the upper. The lining has various functions. The lining allows the shoe to maintain its shape. At the same time, the lining helps to absorb the moisture of the foot. Preparation of the Uppers Decorative patterns are given at this stage on the uppers formed by cutting the leather and lining. Each upper part that will form the upper part of the shoe is combined with appropriate methods and with the help of upper sewing machines. In addition, processing of the prepared uppers such as shaving and marking is carried out at this stage. Sole Assembly The construction of the shoe continues by stretching and nailing the prepared uppers onto the shoe molds. At this stage, the upper and sole of the shoe are combined. Finishing Process The finishing process is the name given to the finishing processes of the shoes. At this stage, final corrections are made on the heel, sole and edge of the shoe. The shoes are dyed, polished and cleaned at this stage. Quality Control Stage After the quality control of the shoes, the shoes are packaged and made suitable for use.
